Laser CO2 for engraving, cutting and stamps
CO2 laser markers for engraving plates and producing stamps Industrial laser marking machines based on CO2 technology are suitable for engraving and even cutting a wide range of materials, meeting the requirements of many industrial and craft applications, from wood, plastic, polymer and leather processing to industrial marking and coding. All laser cutting and engraving machines are CE compliant.
How CO2 laser engraving and cutting machines work
Laser engraving is achieved by focusing a laser beam onto a surface using mirrors or a laser head and motorised axes controlled by dedicated hardware and software. By synchronising XY movement with laser beam power modulation, a permanent mark can be created without any physical contact with the surface. Laser cutting is fast and precise and provides a high-quality finish through a non-contact process performed at a defined focal length. With adequate laser power, high-precision shapes can be cut from a variety of metals, including steel, titanium, aluminium and copper, as well as certain plastic and organic materials such as rubber, wood, paper and manufactured products.
Advantages of CO2 laser engraving and marking
Laser markers work by focusing a laser beam onto a surface, which is modified by the beam to create an image or marking. The main advantages of laser engraving machines are:
1. NON-CONTACT MARKING FOR CLEAN, DRY RESULTS
Laser engraving machines do not require solvents, inks or milling tools, and complex clamping systems are not necessary. No drying time is required.
2. FAST PROCESSING FOR INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY
Laser systems can perform static marking or marking on moving products ("on the fly") at speeds of up to 1,000 characters per second, improving performance while optimising processing times and productivity.
3. PROTECTION AGAINST COUNTERFEITING
The strong interaction between the laser and the material creates a tamper-resistant mark that cannot be modified or removed without damaging the component. Laser marking therefore provides effective protection against counterfeiting.
4. FLEXIBILITY FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
Laser technology offers a high degree of flexibility, allowing users to create fixed, variable or dynamic text, vector and bitmap graphics, one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes and QR codes. This versatility makes laser marking suitable for the requirements of a wide range of craft and industrial applications.
5. HIGH RESOLUTION AND HIGH QUALITY
High-resolution marking of graphics, logos and characters, with resolutions of up to 600 DPI. This delivers greater quality and functionality for small, medium-sized and large companies.
6. RELIABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Laser engraving machines are an excellent solution in terms of efficiency and energy savings. Their environmental impact is low, as they require no paints, inks, acids, solvents or other chemicals, while also reducing waste and production downtime.
7. PERMANENT AND DURABLE MARKING
Laser engraving stands out from other marking technologies thanks to its excellent resistance to abrasion, water, solvents, oil, high and low temperatures and UV radiation.
8. LONG-TERM CONTRAST AND LEGIBILITY
These marking systems produce markings that remain clearly readable over long periods of time, both by operators and optical reading systems. All our laser machines combine high performance with a user-friendly interface and professional software supplied with the system. They are particularly suitable for engraving wood, plastics and metals, as well as for the laser cutting of textiles and fabrics, leather, cork, paper and thermoplastic polymers.
These characteristics make them suitable for different stages of the production cycle in sectors such as clothing, furniture, automotive and many other industrial applications.
